Which 3D Software is the BEST One?
There are many 3d software applications out there in the market. Often times we heard very intense argument about which 3d software is the best one. Some say 3ds max and some prefer Cinema4D or ZBrush. I would say, according to my experiences of using varies of 3d software, no single package is the best one.
I have tried 3dsmax, maya, cinema4d, zbrush, mudbox and a few of other packages as well. But after a while, I started to stick with Maya and ZBrush. It is not to say Maya is the best one, it simply more suitable for my mind! Yeah, I think your mind has a particular model for what things she likes or not. I have never really wrapped my mind around the Max interface. To me, it is too complicated, Maya’s straight forward style suites me much better. So for someone who wants to find a right package for their 3d works, I suggest them check out the interface first. If you like the interface, go with it and do not need to try other packages, which simply wastes your time!
As all packages’ functionality become mature and mutual, each single package can pretty much do anything you want. So my suggestion is: Stick with A 3d software you like and keep learning it until you can say you are an expert BEFORE you even start with any argument at all!

New demands create new technology?
Velocix.com, a technology company provides new generation Content Delivery Network(CDN) to companies who want to serve their online users with high speed on-demand video, game and software services raised my eyebrows.
Everything has a life span, same goes to HTTP and TCP/IP. While they served us well for browser based contents and will of course continue to serve us in the coming years. The new generation of online service requires more and the new technology will be needed to solve the problems. The current web technology is simply too slow to serve large files such as video contents and other types of contents with big file sizes which require high-speed and non-stop content delivery.
What is the answer? The answer is P2P. While P2P is not a new thing, but often times people relate it to music and software piracy. It is true, P2P does not have a good name associated with it currently. However, its great potential could not be overlooked.
The Velocix.com offers a Whitepaper PDF file explains their use of P2P technology to create their service.
WOW - What a cute girl!
Yeah. Here is something I found for people who are studying 3d modeling:
Digital-Tutors “Creating Stylized Females in Maya” DVD set. It teaches you how to use May(3D Software) to create a 3d cartoon character from head to toes.
It covers modeling, UV layout, texturing as well as rendering, from start to finish to create a good looking 3d character also with some nice personalities.
The price tag ($59.99) is quite reasonable considering you will get over 6 hours of video tutorial.
The End of War for Next Generation DVD Standard?
The news saying the war for next generation DVD standard is over and SONY’s Bluray won the battle with TOSHIBA’s HD-DVD. But is the war really over? And SONY can laugh from now on and watch the sales of its Bluray machine goes up to ceiling? I don’t think so. Because the time for a few of manufacturers to dominate the market is over. Now is the era of Internet!
New P2P technology and upcoming broadband technology promise much faster Internet connection speed for on-demand video service. Hollywood and Bollywood are already using new P2P technology to deliver their online video services. The new generation of Internet users will give much more preference to the quantity of the contents with acceptable video quality than expensive Bluray technology. To them, Bluray will be an expensive option. If they have money, they might buy it. Otherwise, they would rather go with online version.
If Bluray is not going to reduce its high-end price rapidly enough, its fate is probably going to be the same as HD-DVD.
The new video revolution is right ahead of us. If SONY is not seeing it (or rather deliberately ignoring it), we the average Internet users will see it coming.

If you want to use the code on your own site. Follow steps below to add codes to the pages you want the clock to appear:
Step 1. Unzip ‘clock.zip’ and Upload all the files to your websever.
Step 2. put this code in the place you want the clock to apear: (You need to change the ‘clock.js’ to include proper directory structure. For example, ‘js/clock.js’)
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”clock.js”></script>
<p><div id=”clock” name=”clock”>Loading Clock…</div></p>
Step 3. Modify the <body> tag to this:
<body onload=”StartClock()” onunload=”KillClock()”>
