Which 3D Software is the BEST One?

6 March 2008

There are many 3d software applications out there in the market. Often times we heard very intense argument about which 3d software is the best one. Some say 3ds max and some prefer Cinema4D or ZBrush. I would say, according to my experiences of using varies of 3d software, no single package is the best one.

I have tried 3dsmax, maya, cinema4d, zbrush, mudbox and a few of other packages as well. But after a while, I started to stick with Maya and ZBrush. It is not to say Maya is the best one, it simply more suitable for my mind! Yeah, I think your mind has a particular model for what things she likes or not. I have never really wrapped my mind around the Max interface. To me, it is too complicated, Maya’s straight forward style suites me much better. So for someone who wants to find a right package for their 3d works, I suggest them check out the interface first. If you like the interface, go with it and do not need to try other packages, which simply wastes your time!

As all packages’ functionality become mature and mutual, each single package can pretty much do anything you want. So my suggestion is: Stick with A 3d software you like and keep learning it until you can say you are an expert BEFORE you even start with any argument at all!

Yeah, Thanks. I think it is more about habbits than the program design. I saw a lot of people using max to create amazing projects as well.

I think realistically you need to research, look at training videos and the like, then see which one best meets your needs.
